planet of the dead DVD


2entertain have now revealed the cover for the DVD release of this year's Doctor Who Easter special, Planet of the Dead. The cover is of the same style as the recent Next Doctor DVD release and the style will continue to be used on future Doctor Who DVDs. The cover can be seen to the left and the official synopsis can be read below, thanks to Doctor Who Online:
Bionic Woman and Merlin star Michelle Ryan plays the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza who joins the Doctor on a bus-trip which takes a very unexpected detour into danger. British comedy star Lee Evans also joins the cast playing a character called Malcolm whose life becomes connected to the Doctor's under extraordinary circumstances and Noma Dumezweni returns as Captain Erisa Magambo - last seen helping Rose and Donna save the world in Turn Left.
The DVD will not include any special features.Planet of the Dead will go on sale on the 29th of July and will be sold across the United Kingdom and Ireland at the RRP of £15.99.

doctor who adventures #113

BBC Magazines today sent us the cover and details for issue 113 of Doctor Who Adventures Magazine which will be released tomorrow. This week's issue is a Sontaran special and comes with a free Sontaran spaceship game, some Sontaran badges and some Sontaran stickers. happy easter

today was easter the celebration of jesus dieing on the cross and coming back to life.To celebrate this day in history, many special ceremonies take place and gifts such as Easter eggs are given out to friends and family. Doctor Who: The Second Visual Dictionary

Dorling Kindersley, the publisher of many books, have recently released some details about their upcoming second edition of Doctor Who: The Visual Dictionary. The first edition went on sale in May last year and this second edition will provide more information about the characters, aliens, gadgets and planets that feature in Doctor Who. new K.9 picture


Bob Baker has recently uploaded a new promotional image for K9, the upcoming show in which he has written, onto his official website. The promotional image features the newly designed K9 and three people who are speculated to be the actors that will play the show's main characters. The main characters are rumoured to be called; Starkey, Jorjie and Darius.K9, the series, will air later this year in Australia and it will hopefully air in the United Kingdom and many other countries at a later date. More information about this programme, it's transmission dates and cast will be posted here on this site as soon as it becomes available.

Jessica Hynes Filming for Doctor Who


Please be aware that this post contains pictures and information which could be classed as spoilers. Jessica Hynes who previously appeared as Joan Redfern in the Doctor Who series three episodes, Human Nature and The Family of Blood, was recently spotted filming the third Doctor Who 2009 special. Jessica Hynes plays a woman called Verity Newman in the episode, who is signing copies of her book, A Journal of Impossible Things. When The Doctor made himself human, he wrote about the dreams he had of travelling through time and space in a book which he also called A Journal of Impossible Things.
